Recently, a number of unauthorised third-party sellers of counterfeit YuMOVE Senior joint products were identified on Amazon.
As a precaution, all third-party sellers of YuMOVE products have now been removed from Amazon. This is because, at present, the authenticity of any products sold by third-party sellers cannot be verified. Additionally, Amazon has recalled and refunded all products recently bought from third-party sellers.
The counterfeit products and their sellers are in no way connected to Lintbells/YuMOVE. While the products may look very similar to YuMOVE – copying details on both boxes and tablet blister packs – they have not been produced by our manufacturers or checked by our quality team.
Please be reassured that all YuMOVE products purchased directly from yumove.co.uk, your vet, and from our retail partners (listed below) are genuine and have passed our rigorous quality checks.
Genuine YuMOVE products are also available on Amazon, however, this can only be guaranteed on orders that are dispatched from and sold by Amazon.

Which products are affected?
As a precaution, all third-party sellers of allYuMOVE products have been removed from Amazon. This is because, at present, the authenticity of any products sold by third-party sellers cannot be verified. Additionally, Amazon has recalled and refunded all products recently bought from third-party sellers.
Genuine YuMOVE products are still available from Amazon – look out for products that are “dispatched from and sold by Amazon” only.

How do I know if I have bought counterfeit product from Amazon?
If you’ve recently bought YuMOVE products from a third-party seller, Amazon should have contacted you directly.
You can also see whether the products you bought came from a third-party seller by checking your “Order History”. If the product you received was sold and dispatched by anyone other than Amazon, it means the product was sent to you by a third party and could be counterfeit.

How can I tell if my product is counterfeit?
We’ve received lots of questions about identifying counterfeit products by the foil on the blister packs, the packaging design or by batch numbers. Unfortunately, this isn’t a reliable way to determine whether a product is counterfeit or not, and there are multiple versions.
The only way to guarantee genuine YuMOVE product is to purchase from authorised suppliers (list above).
Why did I still receive counterfeit products when I ordered through your Amazon brand store?
To ensure your order is fulfilled using genuine YuMOVE product, customers should always ensure their order is dispatched from and sold by Amazon only. This information is available on the product page and in the basket before you purchase.
What should I do if I think I have counterfeit product?
If you think you have counterfeit product, or are uncertain, we strongly advise you to stop feeding it to your dog and contact Amazon immediately to verify the product.
Can you verify my batch number for me?
Unfortunately, batch numbers are not a reliable way to determine whether a product is counterfeit as these can also be printed as part of the counterfeit packaging information.
The only way to guarantee genuine YuMOVE product is to purchase from authorised suppliers (list above).
If I’ve fed my dog counterfeit products, should I take them to the vet?
We recommend speaking to your vet if you have concerns about your dog’s health.
What symptoms do I need to look out for?
We’re unable to advise on any signs and symptoms because the counterfeit products have not been manufactured by ourselves, and therefore, we’re not familiar with the ingredients in them or the quality control measures that they were subjected to. Additionally, there are several variations in circulation.
We have however, begun logging reports of suspected adverse events associated with the counterfeit products sold and distributed by third party sellers on Amazon, in hopes that if we see any emerging trends we can share these with pet owners and vets. If you believe you have seen any symptoms in your pet that you think are connected to taking counterfeit product, please let us know via our contact form.
If your pet has consumed counterfeit product and is actively unwell, we recommend seeking advice from your vet right away.
We would like to thank the VPIS (Veterinary Poisons Information Service) who have additionally provided us with the following information which we believe pet owners and vets will find incredibly helpful:
‘Without knowing the ingredients in the counterfeit tablets we cannot give specific advice, however the risks are thought to be low. Animals who are not displaying signs of being unwell should be observed at home. Any animal showing clinical signs should be assessed by their vet and further tests considered (such as a general health profile) although it must be considered that the cause of the signs may be unrelated to the tablets. If owners are very concerned, they can contact Animal PoisonLine on 01202 509000 (consultation fee applies) where they will be advised whether a vet visit is required. Vets can receive specific treatment advice on a case-by-case basis through the VPIS members service on 020 7305 5055.’
What's in the counterfeit products?
As these products are counterfeit and have not been made by Lintbells/YuMOVE manufacturers, we are unable to advise on their ingredients or safety. We’re also unable to confirm that one pack of counterfeit product is the same as another as ingredients may vary.
Have you tested the counterfeit products?
We immediately started testing when we became aware of the presence of counterfeit sellers and products.
However, because multiple variations are in circulation, we have no details on the manufacturing facilities or ingredients, and the traceability information is unreliable, we’re unable to provide safety reassurance from testing results alone. This is because any tablets tested may not match those that have already consumed, or any others that have been sold.
For reassurance, however, the VPIS (Veterinary Poisons Information Service) has provided us with the below information, which we believe pet owners and vets may find helpful. We would like to thank them for their support in the provision of this guidance.

I want to buy direct from YuMOVE but you don’t sell Senior. What should I buy?
We recommend ordering YuMOVE Joint Care PLUS or YuMOVE Joint Care PLUS Max Strength.
If you’ve been consistently using YuMOVE Senior, you can easily switch to either of these products and won’t need to double the recommended feeding guidelines at the start. This is because the active ingredients will have already built up in your dog’s system.

What’s the difference between YuMOVE Joint Care Senior and YuMOVE Joint Care PLUS Max Strength?
YuMOVE Joint Care Senior and YuMOVE Joint Care PLUS Max Strength are very similar products, however, YuMOVE Joint Care PLUS Max Strength is only available from our website, which means you can be confident you’re buying directly from us.
Like Senior, YuMOVE Joint Care PLUS Max Strength is a high-strength formula, developed specifically for older dogs. It contains the same great ingredients as Senior, but with a little extra potency.
Can I buy YuMOVE ADVANCE 360 online?
YuMOVE ADVANCE 360 and ADVANCE 360 MAX Joint Care are the two strongest joint formulas available for dogs and cats under veterinary supervision. It’s only available from vet practices and retailers because we believe pets who need our strongest formulas should be visiting the vet regularly. I’m concerned my dog may have experienced a reaction to the counterfeit product. What do I do?
If your pet is actively unwell, contact your vet right away for advice and support.
We are keeping a log of reports of any pets who have been unwell since we have been notified of the counterfeit product and sellers, so if you have seen any symptoms in your pet that you think are connected to taking counterfeit product, please let us know via this form and we’ll use this information to monitor for any emerging patterns. We are keeping this log voluntarily and we must remind our customers that these counterfeit products are not manufactured by us or connected to us in any way, and have not been subjected to our rigorous quality checks.
Can you confirm the authenticity of a product by the seller on Amazon?
If the product you received was not “dispatched from and sold by Amazon”, it means the product was sent to you by a third party, and it could be counterfeit. You can see who the order has been sold and dispatched by in your “Order History”.

If you bought YuMOVE Senior on Amazon and the product you received was “dispatched from and sold by” anyone other than Amazon, it means it was sent by a third party, and could be counterfeit.
