Introducing the World’s Best Dog House

Here at YuMOVE, we’re on a mission to help dogs live their best, most active lives. And to raise awareness of some of the home hazards that commonly cause doggy joint issues, we’ve created the World’s Best Dog House!

To create the house we teamed up with none other than renowned interior designer and style guru, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

Why the World’s Best Dog House?

We naturally want to do what’s best for our precious pets. But lots of us don’t truly understand the danger our homes can pose to a dog’s joints and long-term health. The World’s Best Dog House is completely geared up for healthy canine living.

Partnering with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen

Not only has Laurence spent his entire life mastering the art of interior design, but he’s also the owner of three beautiful dogs – two Cocker Spaniels and a Border Collie. So, we knew he was the perfect person to create a stunning and practical home for dogs! Here’s what he had to say…

“Whether you're buying a new house, redecorating an old one, or simply planning a summer spruce, think about how you can create the best in-home environment for your pet. Look at our Dog House –  you can clearly see that by making simple swaps, you can create a beautiful home that provides the best living arrangement for your dog, keeping it healthy, happy and active for life.”

Our other partners

With a goal to create the best and most adaptable dog house in the world, we also teamed up with some incredible animal charities – Canine Arthritis Management, Hug At Home and Big Dog Bed Company. With their expert help, we’ve been able to fully demonstrate the ideal in-home environment to benefit the long-term health of our pets.

Advice about home adaptions

As Laurence says, just a few house swaps can make all the difference to your dog’s joint health.

Hannah Capon from Canine Arthritis Management knows all about household doggy dangers and what to do about them. Here are some of her top tips...

  • Put non-slip mats on slippery floors – like hardwood, tiles and laminate – to prevent your pup from stumbling around.
  • Buy a comfortable, ergonomic bed that’s the right size for your dog.
  • Use elevated food bowls to prevent straining when eating.
  • Add a stairgate, ramp or sling stair to reduce your dog’s use of the stairs and to make them easier to use.
