Will Daily Clean dental sticks upset my dog’s tummy?
Our yummy Daily Clean dental sticks are packed full of natural ingredients and are wheat and lactose-free, so they’re gentle on tummies.
What size dental stick does my dog need?
YuMOVE Dental Care Daily Clean sticks come in three sizes, depending on the size of your dog: Small dogs – up to 15kg, Medium dogs – 16-30kg, Large dogs – over 30kg.
How often should I give my dog a Daily Clean dental sticks?
Daily Clean dental sticks are designed to be fed to your dog once a day, every day. For small, medium and large dogs our feeding guideline is one stick per day. For very small dogs (up to 5kg), our guideline is one stick every other day. We recommend reducing your dog’s usual food intake by around 10% to avoid weight gain when giving them a Daily Clean stick each day.
Can these Daily Clean dental sticks replace regular brushing?
While our Daily Clean dental sticks can be a great addition to your dog’s oral hygiene routine, they’re not intended to replace regular brushing. We always advise brushing your dog’s teeth as the first step in maintaining good oral health.
What’s the difference between YuMOVE Daily Clean sticks and powder?
There are a few differences between our sticks and powder. Firstly, our dental sticks are for dogs only. Thanks to their spiral shape, they help to clean teeth, while the addition of thyme helps freshen breath. They also double as a tasty treat for your dog, so if you prefer not to give treats, the powder is ideal.
Our powder is for both cats and dogs. It’s sprinkled over food, making it easy and convenient to use. Both products contain our seacret ingredient – clinically proven seaweed which helps to reduce the build-up of plaque and tartar.
Can I use both products together?
No. You should only feed your pet one Daily Clean product. If you have a specific question, please email our Customer Care Team at hello@yumove.com.
Does dog dental powder work?
Yes. Canine dental powder is a great way to support your dog's oral hygiene. It works by helping to reduce plaque and tartar build-up, which also helps keep bad breath at bay. By targeting the bacteria that causes plaque, your dog's teeth can stay clean and healthy with regular use.
Is dental powder safe for dogs?
Yes, dental powder for dog’s teeth is safe. Our product is made with natural ingredients, ensuring it’s gentle on your pet's tummy. YuMOVE Dental Care Daily Clean Powder is also suitable for cats. Please follow the daily feeding guide to ensure your pet gets the right level of support.
Does dog dental powder have any side effects?
While dental powder is safe, some pets may experience mild stomach upset at first. If this happens to your dog or cat, stop giving the powder for a few days and reintroduce it slowly, using smaller amounts. If tummy upset continues, please talk to your vet.
Can I use dental powder instead of brushing?
No. Regular brushing is still the best way to keep your dog’s teeth clean, and you should aim to do this at least three times a week. We know it can be hard, though – some dogs don’t like brushing, while others see it as a game! Our Daily Clean Powder has been designed to support your dog’s dental hygiene once their teeth have been cleaned, whether by you or a professional.
